Trinity provides education and outreach services in our local community. We provide financial education classes and materials, seminars, workshops, and individual credit counseling sessions. As a community education provider, we regularly partner with public schools, colleges, nonprofits, credit unions, social service organizations, and local employers and employee assistance program services.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS
It’s not what you earn its how you spend. Adult money management course: provides lessons for establishing a savings plan; identifying spending habits; creating a personal budget; changing personal finance habits; participants provided books and worksheets; references for additional reading; generally meets 1-2 sessions.
Women & Money. Money management course for women and families; covers four financial topics: budgeting, credit, savings, and basic investments; prepares women to make wise consumer choices; participants provided books and worksheets; provided references for continuing personal finance education; 4 sessions.
Credit $mart. Course concerns understanding credit accounts; understanding fees, interest rates, and introductory offers; choosing credit cards and building credit history; credit scoring; consequences of late fees and interest rates; determining manageable credit limits; ways to avoid overextended credit; personal budgeting and credit; participants provided worksheets and reference materials; usually 1-2 sessions.
Rebuilding Your Financial Future. Course concerns reading credit reports; understanding credit scoring methods; disputing credit report errors; understanding various credit bureaus; obtaining credit report; understanding debt management plans; choosing a credit card; participants provided worksheets and reference materials for credit report information; usually 1-2 sessions.
What every college student should know about debt. Course provides college students lessons for avoiding credit card debt: evaluating credit card marketing; evaluating interest rates; consequences of late fees and charges; choosing a credit card; consequences of credit card debt; interpreting credit scores; using credit cards to build credit history; participants provided worksheets and references; usually 1-2 hour seminar.
Getting A Head $tart: Youth Financial Literacy Education Trinity promotes youth financial literacy within Cincinnati inner-city schools though our youth course, Getting A Head $tart: You Are Never Too Young To Learn Money Management. The course covers fundamental concepts within budgeting, investments, credit, and personal finance. All materials follow Ohio Department of Education guidelines and standardized testing procedures and provide supplemental lessons in math and social studies grades 6-12. The course has reached nearly 6000 students.
FINANCIAL LITERACY OHIO GRADUATION REQUIREMENT
Beginning with students who enter ninth grade for the first time on or after July 1, 2010 . . .
. . . Each school shall integrate the study of economics and financial literacy, as expressed in the social studies academic content standards adopted by the state board of education under section 3301.079 of the Revised Code, into one or more existing social studies credits required under division (C)(6) of this section, or into the content of another class, so that every high school student receives instruction in those concepts. In developing the curriculum required by this paragraph, schools shall use available public-private partnerships and resources and materials that exist in business, industry, and through the centers for economics education at institutions of higher education in the state. MISSION
Trinity is committed to addressing the underlying causes of debt and financial distress for individuals and families. As a credit counseling agency, we believe financial education provides a remedy for addressing debt, the misuse of credit, bankruptcy, and poor financial planning. Additionally, we are committed to helping our clients manage their debt through our debt management program. Trinity’s Mission: “To help all who seek our assistance improve their financial situation, through counseling and education, acquire knowledge to avoid financial distress and build a secure financial future.”

In achieving its mission to increase the understanding of personal finance and to improve its practice, Trinity will focus on the following goals:
- Developing creative youth and adult financial education programs to increase individuals and families understanding of personal finance and its implications for building wealth.
- Providing financial education programs, to teach theory and practices related to personal finance concepts such as budgeting and managing credit card debts.
- Offering financial education training, programs, seminars, and conferences.
- Developing strategic partnerships with area nonprofits, centers, businesses, government and civic organizations to raise awareness of financial education needs and purposes.
